Toyota Optimal Drive

Toyota Optimal Drive lowers fuel consumption and emissions of CO ₂ , while maintaining maximum performance and driving dynamics. Toyota Optimal Drive is actually a set of technologies that Toyota develops to achieve set goals. In summary, optimizing resources include:

▪ Low weight and compact design - smaller unit weight, while maintaining lower power consumption and provides more power for driving dynamics

▪ combustion efficiency - the latest direct fuel injection, optimized combustion chamber shape
▪ reduced friction - is an important part of the Toyota Optimal Drive, advanced design and moving parts of oil with low viscosity for all models reduces friction
▪ sort - Toyota offers a wide range of optimized gear. For example. A new twin-shaft 6-speed transmission is 11% smaller and has 15% fewer parts. It is able to transfer more torque than the old 5-speed gearbox
▪ Toyota D-CAT - This system cleans the exhaust gases using the new DPNR catalyst . DPNR (diesel particulate reduction system and NO _X) reduces emissions of NO _X and particulate matter due to their temporary capture filter .
▪ Valvematic - control valve timing and lift
▪ piezoelectric injection - a new efficient piezoelectric injectors are able to manage the volume and timing of fuel up to three times more accurately. Injection under high pressure (2000 bar) leads to better dispersion of injected fuel and efficient combustion.
▪ turbocharger with variable nozzle diameter - electronically controlled turbo system optimizes performance at all speeds. At low speeds reduces the turbo lag thanks to the smaller diameter nozzle, which accelerates the motor and the gas turbine. This results in faster turbo response.
