SBC is a sign of electro-hydraulic braking system from Bosch.

Electro-hydraulic SBC brake system of the English Sensotronic Brake Control significantly improves safety and comfort braking. Complements the ABS system allows the electronic control brake system. If necessary, the brake system allows amplification effect or regulate it according to the current driving condition.

Principle
SBC system is used for vehicles equipped with a brake system, Brake-by-Wire is electronically controlled brakes. Sensors recorded, the intensity with which the driver controls the brake pedal. Using these signals calculates the required braking system SBC pressure to individual wheels. Brake pressure is then distributed through high-pressure pump unit from the container to the wheel brakes. The system reacts very quickly, because in high-pressure tank is brake fluid under pressure is always around 140 bars.

Electronic control of the braking effect of each round separately allows to calculate the braking pressure to each wheel to apply the information from the electronic stabilization program ESP . ESP brakes during cornering harder than the outside wheels inside wheels, increasing stability.

The electronics are also integrated SBC brake assist function. When the system detects a very fast, but at first the lack of strong brake pedal, regards it as an emergency situation and increases the pressure in the brake pipe.

Video

Individual electronic control brake pressure on wheels with SBC also optimizes the electronic stabilization system ESP . ESP can, thanks to constant pressure in the brake pipe, causing an early and thanks to electronic control even with a better measuring braking force. Also known pulsating brake pedal to activate ABS is due to an electrical connection between the accelerator and brake system no longer occurs.
