LPG stands for a mixture of fuel gas propane-butane.

The abbreviation comes from the English LPG Liquefied Petroleum Gas, which means liquefied petroleum gas. LPG is a mixture of propane and butane. This gas is generated by refining petroleum or is obtained from the extraction of methane gas. By cooling or compression is then liquefied, what reaches 260 times smaller in volume. LPG is used as a cheaper alternative to gasoline.

What You Did not Know:

Since LPG is heavier than air, accumulates in the release to the ground. For this reason, the LPG cars are banned from most of the underground garage.

In the Czech Republic uses LPG motorists around 200 000, which corresponds to the number of filling stations. LPG provides about 900 of them, half of which has nonstop service.
