Traction control is a concept much inflected above in Formula 1 This is an electronic system allowing better transmission of power to the road. It is mainly used at the exit of the corners, but on straight stretches. Electronics allows full throttle, without wheel slip. Today they are commonly equipped with this system and passenger cars.
Traction control is used in Formula 1 since 2001, when the FIA lifted its previous ban. The reason for its cancellation was difficult to detect illegal use of traction control. Pilots racing single-seaters and had easier work, especially on wet roads or out of the corners when under heavy throttle at risk due to the high performance racing seater skid. In an effort to improve the attractiveness of plants, however, the FIA in 2007 issued a statement in which Traction systems banned again: "No car can not be equipped with a system which allows to control wheel spin full throttle," said the FIA in a statement.
Traction control systems now found in most conventional cars. There are many different denominations for these systems. All work on the same principle, but each manufacturer uses their own, such as ASC , ASR , DTC , etc, ETS, TCS and TC .
