EDW

The abbreviation refers to burglar alarm and theft of used Mercedes-Benz.

The alarm system is automatically put into operation in about 15 seconds after you lock the car from the outside with an electric key. The alarm will occur if any of the following situations:

some doors are open
the hood open trunk
hood is opened
parking brake is allowed
the breaking of windows

Note: The second generation EDW is also accompanied by a monitoring system of internal space.
